UFC 111 set of fighters made weight in their respective match-ups including the four interesting fighters: Shane Carwin and Frank Mir , and the two fighters fighting for the main event: Georges St. Pierre and Dan Hardy. The only issue with the scales came courtesy of Rory Markham, who exceeded six pounds over the 170 + 1 limit. Because he did not pass within the weight limit, he will surrender 20% of his fight purse to Nate Diaz in their Welterweight bout. The fight between Diaz and Markham still goes on as scheduled.

UFC 111 Will Not Coincide With Pacquiao-Clottey Match

March 13, 2010

The UFC 111 match between Georges St. Pierre and Dan Hardy will avoid the Pacquiao vs Clottey live stream match or Pacquiao vs Clottey live stream fight which will be held at Dallas Cowboys Stadium tomorrow, March 13, 2010.

If UFC 103 match between Franklin and Belfort coincided with Mayweather’s comeback match against Marquez, well they’re not going to do it again. It is true that UFC 103 tickets were sold faster than Mayweather-Marquez tickets but the boxing PPV soared high on the event day. The biggest stars in boxing ate UFC alive. Boxing fans missed the proud and famous “Pretty Boy” in the ring. Some said that Mayweather talks trash but he puts some spice in his matches. Now that Mayweather has come back, boxing became even more famous and the most talk-about sports for millions of people around the world wanted to see the match between Mayweather and the current no.1 pound for pound king Manny Pacquiao.
